VRAM MINASSIAN

Vram Minassian grew up in his father’s Beirut watch and jewelry shop where he was immersed in old-world craftsmanship, seeing first-hand how his father created not only exquisite jewels, but also parts for the finest Swiss timepieces — a dual-focus that left an indelible impression.

When civil war erupted he left Lebanon to study first in Paris, and then in Los Angeles where he made his home and founded his eponymous studio, creating custom pieces for private clients and global brands.

Vram’s marriage to Sevane in 2013 put him on a new and exciting creative trajectory, and the birth of his daughter Elsa in 2015 moved him to establish his legacy.

In July 2016, after a year of development, the first Continuum collection launched in partnership with Barney’s New York. Over 30 years had passed since the founding of his studio and for the first time Vram began to express his own perspective through jewelry.

Continuum works have won numerous awards including 2018 and 2021 Couture Design Awards, and a 2020 Town & Country Jewelry Award. Still, Vram keeps his sights set on the future and on the story he has begun to tell.

“I have accomplished my mission if, centuries from today, someone finds a piece that I designed and treasures it — not because it is gold, and not because it is VRAM — but because it speaks to their curiosity and resonates with them on a deeper level.”
